I have in excess of twenty-five years of experience of preparing independent personal injury reports in London, the West Country and East Anglia.

I have attended courses within the past twelve months outlining changes in the Part 35 rules for personal injury law and other courses on Medical Negligence Report preparation.

I am also instructed as an Orthopaedic Expert Witness in Product Liability cases including Metal on Metal hip replacement and surgical problems in relation to total joint replacement surgery.

I have experience in preparing both Plaintiff and Defendant reports as well as more frequently now Joint Expert reports for both Solicitors and Insurance Companies. I receive approximately 150 medico-legal instructions per annum.

In the West Country I was a member of several Medico-Legal Societies and I helped to organise a lecture course for the combined medical and legal professions.

In my Medical Negligence Practice I give expert opinion both to the NHS Litigation Authority but also to Lawyers representing patients who have had unexpected or adverse surgical outcomes.

In 2005 and 2006 I was one of two orthopaedic experts instructed by Leigh Day & Co in a joint replacement product liability case, leading to a successful settlement on behalf of their clients. My Causation and Prognosis reports were discussed with Senior Partners of the company and specimen cases were discussed with their Senior Counsel, Lord Brennan Q.C.

At the present time I am being asked to review the problems experienced by patients who have had Metal on Metal total hip and resurfacing arthroplasties.

My current waiting list for reports in East Anglia is one to two months and in the West Country three months. It is possible for individual cases to prepare reports at short notice providing all of the medical records are available.

I aim to have my medico-legal opinions returned to instructing Lawyers and Insurance Companies within a fortnight.

For all reports I would be grateful if my Essex address could be used by Lawyers and Insurance Companies.
